VIDEO: Vikings Take Lead Over Broncos on Touchdown Grabs From Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph
By Karl Rasmussen
The Minnesota Vikings offense was absolutely stagnant throughout the first half of play, getting shut out by the Broncos up until the third quarter. In the nick of time, the Vikes found their stride late, and clawed back into the game thanks to a huge touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins. Stefon Diggs turned on the afterburners and bolted past the Broncos secondary for a 54-yard score, bringing the Vikings within three points.
Cousins scrambled out of the pocket before settling his feet and airing out the deep bomb to Diggs, who created enough separation to bolt into the end zone for six.
But the Vikings weren't done there. After Brandon McManus whiffed on a field goal for the Broncos, Cousins led Minnesota back down the field and capped the drive off with a dart to Kyle Rudolph for six.
This play looked like a near spitting image of Cousins' rollout on the Diggs TD. He scrambled out to his left and was able to find Rudolph with space, who trotted into the end zone with ease after burning past Duke Dawson Jr.
A lead?! For Minnesota?!
