VIDEO: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Buries Royals With Grand Slam

One of baseball's future superstars showcased his power in Kansas City Tuesday night, when Toronto Blue Jays' third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. buried the Royals with a ninth inning grand slam.

The slam doubled the Jays' lead and all but destroyed any chance the Royals had in making a comeback. The Jays won the game 9-2 and Guerrero finished the game 2 for 5 with five RBI.

Guerrero has struggled a bit this season, especially when his stats are juxtaposed to the hype that surrounded him before his call-up. In 291 at-bats, Guerrero has a .261/.337/.430 slash line with 11 home runs and 43 RBI.

While he's gotten off to a slow start, Guerrero is now batting .410 (16-for-39) with 13 RBI in his last 10 games. Perhaps as his friends and minor-league teammates like Cavan Biggio and Bo Bichette get promoted to the big leagues, Guerrero will get more comfortable and start to be the monster he was in the minors.

Despite the relative lackluster performance he's put up so far, Guerrero has already made history with Tuesday's grand slam. He's the first 20-year-old to hit multiple grand slams in one season since Alex Rodriguez in 1996.

It's been a tough year for the Blue Jays as they are 25 games under .500, but their future is no doubt bright with Guerrero Jr. hopefully anchoring its lineup for many years to come.
