VIDEO: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Emulates His Dad and Crushes a Home Run on a Pitch at His Ankles
By Karl Rasmussen
Vladimir Guerrero was known for his ability to turn on any pitch, and by that we mean literally any pitch. Senior could take a ball deep, even if it was below his shins, and it looks like he passed that trait down to his son. Vlad Jr. uncorked on a pitch that most batters would swing right through, or at best send right into the dirt.
Wade LeBlanc was trying to pitch carefully to the Jays' young slugger, but even going well below the zone couldn't keep the 20-year-old from leaving the yard.
Guerrero Jr. now has 14 home runs on the year, and if he's starting to hit pitches like that out of the park, there's nowhere safe for pitchers to target anymore.
