The Reds selected Rece Hinds with the 49th pick in the draft, and shortly after a video surfaced on the internet of the 17-year-old prospect unleashing dinger after dinger during a BP session.

At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Hinds has unreal power and he was absolutely crushing the baseball during this two minute clip, with some of those homers landing well beyond the outfield grass.
Hinds does struggle hitting the breaking ball and has a lot of work to do before he can get to the MLB level, but the power displayed by such a young bat has to be exciting for the Reds organization and fans. Hopefully he can make positive strides in the contact department, but clearly the Reds have a potential big-league slugger on their hands.
