VIDEO: Watch All of Justin Verlander's 15 Strikeouts Against the Brewers
By Brendan Azoff

We may have become numb to the greatness of Astros starter Justin Verlander, but he did something on Wednesday night that he had yet to accomplish in his brilliant career. Verlander fanned 15 Brewers during his seven innings of work at Minute Maid Park, setting a new career high in the process.

Every pitch was working to perfection for Verlander who saw the late life on his fastball and devastating break on his off-speed pitches that continually kept Milwaukee's offense on a seesaw. Verlander did surrender three home runs, but what should be remembered from this game is the fact that even at 36 he still has enough life in that arm to mow down hitters.

Verlander seems to enjoy pitching against the Brewers as eerily enough on the exact same date 12 years ago he tossed a no-hitter against Milwaukee.
15 K's is hard enough to accomplish and it seems to go under-appreciated considering the strikeout rate has gone up in baseball. But hats off to Verlander, as he yet again dazzled us with another incredible pitching performance.
