VIDEO: Watch Drew Rosenhaus' Sad Attempt to Explain Why Antonio Brown Isn't With the Raiders
By Sean Facey
Antonio Brown is still without his helmet of choice, and that means he's away from the Raiders leading up to Week 1 of the regular season. The whole debacle has left everyone involved grasping at straws. But, nobody seems to be more frazzled than Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who struggled to explain why his player isn't at camp with the team.
He pretty much just rehashed the entire helmet battle up to this point, chalking his absence up to the fact that this is a "major issue for him."
It's perfectly fine Brown wants to wear the helmet he's worn for his entire football career. That's what he's comfortable with. However, that's not an excuse to not play for the team that signed him to a three-year, $50.125 million deal.
Each passing day that he's absent puts stress on Rosenhaus, his teammates and the front office.
At the end of the day, Brown is playing a team sport and his team needs him both now and down the road if they want to succeed. Letting this helmet squabble get in the way of his commitment to the Raiders is a bad look.
