VIDEO: Watch Indians' Trevor Bauer Strike Out 12 Batters in 21 Seconds
By Parker White
Whether it was the fastball, curveball or slider, Cleveland Indians starter Trevor Bauer had it going Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals. Bauer ended the day with 12 strikeouts and picked up his sixth win of the season. If you needed a quick recap, here you go:
Bauer lasted 6.2 innings and tossed 127 pitches to get through it. Even though he had to deal with deep counts, he knew how to finish off hitters via the strikeout, whether it was a high fastball or getting swings and misses on his nasty breaking ball.
Bauer isn't putting together the same kind of season he did last year when he was a legit Cy Young candidate, but he's been hot lately and over his last seven starts he owns a 2.98 ERA.
Bauer is a strikeout artist, ranking top-five in the league in that category.
