VIDEO: Watch Javy Baez Give Himself a Massive Leg Tattoo
By Karl Rasmussen
Javy Baez and the Cubs are gearing up for their afternoon showdown with the Pirates, but the star infielder wasn't completely satisfied with his look before the game. Well, he fixed that on his own, as he casually decided to give himself a massive tattoo on his leg!
Baez actually has some skill with the tattoo gun too, as this is a pretty big piece and he's confidently going after it. It's unclear what exactly he's inking on himself, but you can clearly see fireworks and even some text.
We might have to call him baseball's version of “JR Smith”, at least when it comes to tattoos, as there are not many parts of his body that are not covered in ink. Baez is known for the tattooed MLB logo on the back of his neck and the World Series champion ink on his left arm, but many people do not know all of his tattoos have a deep meaning.
He has loved tattoo’s ever since he was a child growing up in Puerto Rico and each tattoo has a story. The MLB tattoo was one he got with his brothers as motivation to make it to the big leagues one day. His mom was not a fan of tattoos, so to make things slightly better, he got his mom’s name “Nellie” as his second one.
Baez has always been an expressive and passionate player on the field, and his tattoos are how he expresses himself off the diamond.
El Mago is one of the most exciting players in the game, and it's pretty cool to see him confidently inking himself up with a tattoo gun. Is there anything Baez can't do?
