VIDEO: Watch Mike Francesa Completely Flip His Opinion on Daniel Jones' Arm in Five-Month Span
By Michael Luciano
Like many of us, New York sports radio legend Mike Francesa was openly skeptical when the Giants drafted Daniel Jones sixth overall. Jones received a lot of hate upon entering the league, but Francesa was one of his biggest doubters. Originally not convinced the 6-5 passer had an NFL-caliber arm, Francesa has made a complete 180 with regards to how he views Jones as a prospect, now claiming he is the second coming of Cam Newton.
After being so confident that Jones didn't have a rocket arm, as evidenced by the MANY Duke games we're sure Francesa actually tuned into last season, the sports radio host has completely backtracked, suggesting that he knew along that Jones has a cannon.
Francesa is no stranger to flipping his opinion, but to do so after just one regular-season game, is surprising, even for him, especially considering how openly opposed he was to the Giants' selection of Jones.
Knowing how Numbah One operates, I'm sure he'll revert to his old opinion the first time Jones throws two picks in a game.
Regardless of what Francesa thinks of Jones' talents, the former Duke standout is taking the league by storm and using his past doubters as fuel and motivation.
