VIDEO: Western Carolina QB Caught His Own Pass Then Fumbled in Play That Epitomizes Game vs Alabama
By Ian Anderson
Things are going just as we expected in the matchup between the powerhouse Alabama Crimson Tide and their FCS opponent, the Western Carolina Catamounts. It's 38-0 Alabama at the half, but that doesn't even begin to explain the wackiness that's ensued during the first 30 minutes.
WCU quarterback Tyrie Adams was looking to convert a long third down, only to have the ball batted up in the air. What did he do next? He caught the ball, escaped the defense for a few seconds, and then fumbled after getting hit from behind.
That pretty much sums up the day in Tuscaloosa.
