Edwin Jackson's second stint with the Detroit Tigers isn't off to the best start. Detroit and GM Al Avila took a flyer on Jackson, hoping he can eat some innings and potentially become a veteran trade candidate this offseason. While that's definitely still possible, that journey isn't off to the best start. Edwin, meet Whit Merrifield.

That's just an awful bounce off the wall for Jackson and the Tigers, and Merrifield was running strong out of the box. As a result, KC took an early 1-0 lead against a Tigers team desperately trying to avoid setting a new mark for worst full season record in the AL.
