VIDEO: Woman Burned in Horrible Car Accident Throws Out Inspirational First Pitch at Rockies Game
By Aaron Halford

More than two years ago, a Denver woman named Jamie Ketchum was burned in a car accident, costing her both legs and her left arm. Ketchum was left with third and fourth-degree burns over 95% of her body, and spent an astounding 425 days at the UCHealth Burn Center. Jump two years forward to 2019, and Jamie Ketchum was well enough to deliver a strike to her favorite player Ian Desmond for the ceremonial first pitch of a Colorado Rockies game.
After a fiery crash on I-25 in 2017, Jamie had burns in over 95% of her body. Today, she threw out the first pitch at a @Rockies game, caught by her favorite player Ian Desmond, cheered on by family and friends, including her husband Troy. #Rockies #uchealth pic.twitter.com/VmOMbYQCUN

Ketchum was cheered on by her husband, Troy, who was also injured in the car accident. Jamie's father was killed in the accident, and her mother left badly burned as well.
Troy stood by Jamie during every day she spent at the hospital, in what was said to be the worst burn in UC Health Center history. Now he stands beside her as she delivered the first pitch at Coors Field.
Amazing.
