Are the Boston Red Sox really out of the playoff hunt? It's hard to completely count this team out when you look at their offense, who have already done some magic in their afternoon game against the Los Angeles Angels. Already up 1-0 in the third inning, the middle of the lineup came through, which included a two-run homer off the bat of Xander Bogaerts. Take a look at his 31st homer of the season:

After Bogaerts hit his ball into the rocks, J.D. Martinez followed up with his 34th bomb of the season on the very next pitch.

He crushed that beyond the bullpen and five rows up in the stands. I'd say he got all of it.

Pitching has been the problem with this Red Sox team, but this lineup can mash with the best of them. They might need to do this a few more times to really throw their hat into the playoff race.
