VIDEO: Xavier Rhodes Getting Embarrassed on Saints Deep Passing Play Proves He's No Longer a Starter

The Minnesota Vikings needed Xavier Rhodes to play at his former All-Pro level Sunday afternoon against an explosive New Orleans Saints offense. A huge play in the second quarter on a pass from Taysom Hill saw Rhodes get completely fooled by Deonte Harris, though.

Harris made one move and Rhodes was running the wrong way, only to take a long route back toward the receiver and arrive too late to defend the pass.

Rhodes has not had a great year and it has led to talks of him being let go to provide some salary cap relief for the Vikings in 2020. This comes after he signed a five-year, $70 million extension in 2017. That same year he was named a first-team All-Pro.
Why is Xavier Rhodes always confronting our all-pro safety when he gets beat?

He has no interceptions this season and is tied for sixth in passes defended. Not exactly great numbers for someone expected to play at an elite level. Right now he barely even looks like a starter.
