VIDEO: Yadier Molina is a Gigantic Hypocrite for Biggest Bat Flip in History After Game 4
By Parker White
There is no doubt in my mind that St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is a Hall of Famer and one of the best backstops of all-time, but he's also one of the biggest hypocrites. For someone who appears to be an arbiter of what's allowed and not allowed to be said or done in the game of baseball, why did we see the most exaggerated bat flip in the history of bat flips after a Game 4 win?
I personally have no problem with it. You just hit a walk-off, so I understand losing your mind for a second and chucking your bat into the outfield in celebration. However, this is the same guy who hated on Ronald Acuña Jr. for pimping his ninth inning home run in Game 1.
Oh, and on top of the bat chuck, he gave us a throat slash.
Molina shouldn't be suspended for that, and I realize Acuña did it in Game 1. However, if you hated on it initially, be consistent and don't do it when the shoe is on the other foot.
