VIDEO: Yadier Molina Ties NLDS Game 4 With 2-Out Single for Cardinals
By Ryan Giglio
Yadier Molina does not want the Cardinals' season to end just yet. The postseason legend tied Game 4 of the NLDS matchup against the Braves with a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning that barely escaped the outstretched glove of first baseman Freddie Freeman.
Atlanta entered the game needing one more victory to advance to the NLCS, so Molina's clutch hit potentially saved the Cardinals from elimination. The team also now has a chance to win the game against the Braves' famously questionable bullpen.
