VIDEO: Yankee Fans in Bleachers Show Off Absurd 'Chicken Bucket Snakes' to Rival Cubs Fans
By Scott Rogust
Just days ago, baseball twitter was abuzz after the Chicago Cubs parted ways with Barstool Sports after they created the fan trend of "beer cup snakes." With the Cubs banning the fan activity, the New York Yankees faithful decided to up the ante. During Thursday night's game between the Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays, fans created "chicken bucket snakes," which were promptly confiscated by stadium security.
Oh, those fans weren't done there, as they then created "beer snakes," which again were taken away by security.
It will remain to be seen if the trend will carry across MLB stadiums following Thursday's viral video.
But at least we can count on the Bleacher Creatures to further this trend. Yankees security has proven to be a bit more lax in the past than those Cubs folks (remember all the beer chucking in the Bronx bleachers during the Wild Card Game?), so ideally these'll thrive and survive.
