VIDEO: Evidence Suggests Yankees Think Astros Are Attempting to Steal Signs
By Michael Luciano

Could there be some espionage on the part of the Houston Astros going down in the ALCS? During Game 1 of the series, which was a dominant 7-0 win for New York, Yankees analyst Buck Showalter claimed that Jose Altuve and Houston were trying to steal signs from catcher Gary Sanchez and starter Masahiro Tanaka. He presented as evidence the fact that Altuve can be seen taking a glance at Sanchez's wristband.

If they were indeed trying to steal signs, they certainly didn't do a good job of it in Game 1. Tanaka was almost unhittable, facing the minimum 18 batters through six masterful innings on just 68 pitches, 45 of which went for strikes.
Through 6 innings, Masahiro Tanaka has given up 1 hit and struck out 4 on 68 pitches ??? #Yankeees pic.twitter.com/asoeMrDFvD

Houston needs to up its sign-stealing acumen if it wants to advance in this series giving how dominant the Yankees' pitching staff was in Game 1. Or perhaps they don't need to steal signs and just get a few more hits.
