VIDEO: Yankees First Baseman Greg Bird Actually Has Wild Flow in Dominican Winter League Debut
By Adam Weinrib

First you tell me Greg Bird is back on the field, then you tell me he's got some sort of greasy long mullet?! This is far too much for me to process in one fell swoop, but unfortunately, I'm about to force you to do the very same thing. Bird, the 2017 Yankees playoff hero whose solo shot off Andrew Miller extended their run in Game 3 of the ALDS, hasn't shown up with the NYY in a while. Possibly because he was fully healed, but breaking their hair policy?

Sir, I must ask...where did you get this mane?
I'm going to give the experience of learning about this a 7-out-of-10, leaving room for exactly how excited I would've been if Bird's new look had featured, say, a big and mangy gray beard.
Back in the day, Bird used to stomp on dingers for the Yanks, and it's possible he still can again someday.

But these Dominican ABs will be the last time you see this hair, unless he's traded before his arbitration raise kicks in. You heard it here first.
