VIDEO: Yankees' Gleyber Torres Victimized by Truly Awful Strike Call From Gabe Morales

There was a lot to get upset about if you were a New York Yankees fan watching their ninth inning battle during their 2-1 loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday. From Max Muncy's flop to Kenley Jansen's controversial timeout call, it was a mess all around. Perhaps the worst aspect of this loss was home plate ump Gabe Morales' strike zone, which gifted Jansen a strike against Gleyber Torres despite the ball being at Torres' chest.

Given how the Umpires Association operates, I'd imagine Morales isn't going to face any sort of discipline. In fact, they'll probably claim Torres did something to deserve that.

The fact that Morales made this call on a 1-1 count in the ninth inning of a 2-1 game between the two best teams in the league -- the very definition of a pressure situation -- is pretty unbecoming of an umpire.

If that's a strike, then the whole concept of a strike zone means nothing. Hopefully Morales gets reprimanded in some way for apparently making game-altering strike calls by flipping a coin.
