VIDEO: Yankees LF Clint Frazier Fires a Strike to Throw Out Rangers' Elvis Andrus
By Karl Rasmussen
Clint Frazier's bat has never been cast into much doubt, but his fielding ability is often the topic of discussion. Well, after making a less than sensational attempt on a fly ball against the Rangers, he bounced back with a fantastic defensive highlight in the fifth inning. Frazier prevented Texas from expanding its lead by gunning out Elvis Andrus at the plate with a perfect strike from left field.
Frazier charged the ball perfectly and came up with a bullet of a throw to catch one of the game's biggest speedsters trying to make it a 3-0 ball game.
It didn't even need a hop in order for Gary Sanchez to recover it and slap the tag on the diving Andrus.
