VIDEO: Yankees Star Shortstop Gleyber Torres Takes Tanner Roark Deep for 30th Homer of the Year
By Karl Rasmussen
Gleyber Torres has been a hitting machine since the All-Star break, the young shortstop was back to his slugging ways on Thursday against the Athletics. With the Yankees trailing 5-1, Torres injected a bit of life into his teammates, knocking a solo shot over the wall in center field for his 30th long ball of the season.
Torres now has 10 home runs in the month of August and he's only played in 18 games! He's slugging at an incredible pace right now and the Yankees will hope the 22-year-old can continue this spree into the postseason.
