VIDEO: Yasiel Puig Shows Indians Teammate Jake Bauers 'Respect' After Wild Overthrow
By Kevin Aquino
Cleveland Indians outfielder Jake Bauers put his power on display against the White Sox on Monday, but not in the way you likely expected. If you thought Yasiel Puig was the only guy on his Tribe team with a cannon, then guess again. Only difference is, Puig's missiles are usually accurate, and this Bauers toss was so wild it deserved its own form of kudos from the Wild Horse.
Bauers caught Yoan Moncada's fly ball and rifled it towards home plate, except for the fact that it wasn't really close to home plate...at all.
Puig raised his arm in support, reluctantly retracted it back to his cap, and raised it up again, having a little fun at Bauers' expense; after all, Cleveland's lead was still three against Chicago.
Depsite the lowlight, Bauers had a two-run home run in the fourth inning earlier in the game to extend the Indians' lead.
Tim Anderson's trip to home plate would be Chicago's last one Monday night, as Oscar Mercado and Carlos Santana poured it on in an 11-3 victory. The two teams will meet three more times in Cleveland this week, before taking the series to Chicago later this month.
