VIDEO: Yolmer Sanchez Drills Walk-Off Single as White Sox Down Royals
By Adam Godfrey
The Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals were deadlocked at 1-1 from the bottom of the fifth inning until the bottom of the ninth. With the bases loaded and only one out, Yolmer Sanchez stepped up to the plate with a chance to walk-off for the White Sox. On the second pitch he faced, he ripped a single right in between the second baseman and shortstop to win the game for Chicago.
The walk-off was Sanchez's second hit of the game and the winning run was his second RBI. Chicago got this double-header off to a great start.
