VIDEO: Young Braves Fan Looked Terrified When Reds Fan Turned Toward Him During Celebration
By Ryan Giglio
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Cincinnati Reds pitchers walked four Atlanta Braves batters. In this sequence, the Braves scored the go-ahead run off a walk to Ronald Acuña. All good and happy for the fans at SunTrust Park, right? Well, not for this young Braves fan.
While it would be appropriate for the Reds fan to be scared of what he saw his team do, this young Braves is the one who looked like he saw a ghost.
Watching his team come from behind to take the lead, the kid celebrated with only a small smile and a few fist pumps. While not close to being over the top, he still stopped in his tracks when the Reds fan glanced his way.
Now, if that guy was Madison Bumgarner, a known hater of celebrations, then yes, maybe the kid should have been scared.
The Braves ended up winning the game 5-4 in the 10th on Acuna's walk-off single. Atlanta's lead in the NL East is now seven games, and it's safe to say this little guy ended the night pumping his fist without worrying about that big mean Reds fan.
Braves fans should still be scared about their team's bullpen though, as Trade Deadline acquisition Shane Greene blew the save chance in the ninth.
