VIDEO: Yu Darvish Made Yasiel Puig Look Silly on 80-MPH Curveball
By Daniel Marcillo

Yu Darvish is starting to throw the ball like the ace the Chicago Cubs were expecting when they signed him last offseason. His signature pitch is his curve, and he fooled Yasiel Puig heartily with this one.

Darvish went on to hurl six shutout innings, striking out seven and only allowing two baserunners. He went on to later strikeout Puig with a 98 mph fastball.
With Cole Hamels injured, the Cubs needed a starter to step up, and Darvish has been that guy.
In fact, this outing was far and away the best home start of his Cubs career, and hopefully he's got his swagger back a bit.

Oh, and 98 mph ? is always welcome pic.twitter.com/cluSTV5IY0
This is an extremely different Yu Darvish from anything we've seen in the recent past, and a welcome sight for all the Wrigley faithful. He's now embracing the stuff that brought him here instead of running scared. It's a beautiful thing.
