VIDEO: Zay Jones Enters Concussion Protocol After Taking Vicious Hit From Colts' Safety Khari Willis
By Michael Luciano
While some traditionalists may scoff at some new rule changes related to tackling meant to prevent serious brain and neck injuries, even that crowd would have to admit that this hit from Indianapolis Colts rookie safety Khari Willis was very much over the top.
The fourth round pick out of Michigan State leveled Buffalo Bills wide receiver Zay Jones, sending him crumbling to the turf. Luckily for Bills fans, Jones was cleared to return to action and later rejoined his Bills teammates.
While Jones' 2019 debut was derailed in an instant by Willis, it appears that this injury was not as serious or gruesome as it looked on TV.
This could have been a serious injury, but luckily for all parties involved Jones appears to have suffered no serious long-term effects.
