Adam Thielen Throws Kirk Cousins Under the Bus Yet Again With Latest Quote
By Scott Rogust

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Chicago Bears 16-6 on Sunday. While the game was in reach based on the final score, it wasn't ever close, especially when you factor in the significant negative impact of QB Kirk Cousins.
At one moment of the game, receiver Adam Thielen looked to have a surefire touchdown, but was overthrown by Cousins. When asked about it postgame, Thielen said that Cousins made a great read on the play, but it was ruined by the overthrow.
Adam Thielen on the overthrown pass from Kirk Cousins that seemingly would have gone for a touchdown: "He made a great read of finding me open, and just didn't complete the pass. It's as simple as that."

Uh...no need to hold back, we guess.
To the surprise of no one, the Vikings offense runs through running back Dalvin Cook. However, on Sunday, Cook was silenced by the dominant Bears defense, leaving Minnesota no choice but to throw the ball.
Thielen mentioned this, and stressed that those deep passes simply have to be completed in order to succeed in the NFL. So far, that hasn't been the case for the Vikings, and it's...one man's fault.
Adam Thielen: "At some point, you're not going to be able to run the ball for 180 yards, even with the best running back in the NFL. That's when you have to be able to throw the ball. ... You have to be able to hit the deep balls."

Cousins did complete 27-of-36 pass attempts for 233 yards, but that checkdown production resulted in zero touchdowns on the day.
The Minnesota Vikings are paying Kirk Cousins $28 million a year to take them to the next level: the Super Bowl. So far, that hasn't been the case.
