Vikings CB Mackensie Alexander Ruled Out for Divisional Round Clash vs 49ers
By Ian Anderson

The Minnesota Vikings' secondary will be down a key member during the Divisional Round clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
Cornerback Mackensie Alexander has been ruled out after undergoing a minor knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear, eliminating a significant depth piece for the squad.

WR Adam Thielen is questionable.
Alexander was held out of last week's clash with the Saints, but the team managed to turn in a solid performance in his stead. They'll be challenged to do the same against Jimmy Garoppolo and the Niners on Saturday.
On the year, Alexander featured in 13 games, starting four. He recorded 37 tackles, one fumble recovery, one interception and 0.5 sacks.
The 26-year-old posted to social media to provide an update on his status after undergoing surgery on Thursday.
#Vikings DB Mackensie Alexander had a successful surgery of his meniscus. This was caught early so depending on how much was scoped it’s possible he could be back in 3-4 weeks if needed in the SuperBowl... pic.twitter.com/SvXc7L654G

Alexander has a chance to come back in less than a month's time, with reports suggesting his timetable is 3-4 weeks. He could potentially be available for the Super Bowl, should the Vikings advance that far, but he'd certainly be cutting it close.
