Vikings Safety Jayron Kearse Reportedly Arrested for Suspicion of DUI and Weapons Charges
By Adam Weinrib

With his role in the Vikings secondary already undefined, safety Jayron Kearse managed to further muddy the waters early Sunday morning.
Kearse, the fourth-year DB out of Clemson, was reportedly arrested early Sunday on suspicion of DUI, as well as possession of a firearm without a permit.
According to Hennepin County jail records, Vikings safety Jayron Kearse was arrested this morning on suspicion of DUI and in possession of a firearm without a permit. He's being held in jail without bail on the weapons charge.

Kearse did not end up on the stat sheet in Minnesota's Thursday night victory over the Redskins, and appears to have ended up in a much higher stakes spot of trouble during his weekend away from the game; he's currently being held in jail without bail.
The Vikings have released a statement in the incident's aftermath, but it doesn't provide much clarity on the situation, simply deferring and announcing the team will wait until it concludes its fact-finding mission to take further action.
The Minnesota Vikings are aware of the situation involving Kearse and put out the following statement: "We are aware of Jayron's arrest and are gathering additional information at this time."

Though he hasn't become a dedicated contributor in the secondary, Kearse has been a special teams fit in Minnesota this season, racking up 16 tackles in eight games thus far.
We'll update you when this situation progresses.
