Vikings Troll Falcons' Takk McKinley With Receipts After Easy Week 1 Win
By Scott Rogust
When looking at the slate of games for Week 1, the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings matchup looked among the most competitive.
Once the game was released in the NFL's official schedule release on Apr. 17, Falcons defensive end Takkarist McKinley had positive thoughts about it. By "positive thoughts," we mean McKinley was feeling mighty confident, calling it "easy work," while also predicting he'd have two or three sacks.
Flash forward almost four months later, and the Falcons were completely owned by the Vikings, losing 28-12 on Sunday. McKinley's prediction would not come true, as he accumulated...zero sacks on the day. Robust numbers!
But he did record three tackles, so there's that.
The Vikings official Twitter account showed that they hold onto receipts, as they quoted McKinley's bold prediction, and replying with a sly and certainly savage comeback.

While the Falcons did accumulate more total yards (345) than the Vikings (269), Minnesota put points on the board when they mattered. Most of the damage was done by Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.
Takkarist McKinley learned that the Minnesota Vikings social media team never forgets.
