Conor McGregor has been searching for a purpose in his post-UFC career, floating in between aimless challenges to a seemingly random crop of fighters and trying to sell some whiskey he slapped his name on. The next stop for this international man of mystery appears to be Moscow, as he was seen with Russian president Vladimir Putin in recent weeks.

McGregor offered Putin a bottle of his whiskey, but was shocked to find that Putin tested it swiftly to see if McGregor tried to poison him.

"So, I gifted the bottle, I gifted it to his security. So, they had to take the liquid from the bottle to make sure the liquid was safe and it was not maybe poisoned or whatnot and then it was gifted to Vladimir Putin."

Who knew that a guy who once stole a Super Bowl ring from Robert Kraft, among A LOT of other things, could be a bit paranoid?

Given how weird McGregor's post-UFC career has been, becoming embroiled in an international geopolitical issue or becoming best friends with Putin wouldn't be out of character.
