Absolutely devastating news out of Auburn.

The voice of the Tigers, Rod Bramblett, and his wife, Paula, tragically passed away due to injuries suffered in a car accident on Saturday. Rod Bramblett was 52. Paula Bramblett was 53.

The crash occurred on the Shug Jordan Parkway, per police. The driver of the other car was a 16-year-old male. He was also taken to the hospital and is in serious condition.

Alcohol was reportedly not a factor in the accident.

"We ask the Auburn Family to keep the Bramblett family in your thoughts and prayers,” Lee County Coroner Bill Harris released a statement on Saturday night.

Auburn fans are in mourning this Sunday, as Bramblett was the voice they turned to for their most joyful moments on the gridiron. Look no further than the famous 'Kick-Six' against Alabama in 2013.

Bramblett spent more than 30 years on the airwaves calling Auburn Tigers games, and has been immortalized by Tigers fans for his go-to calls such as 'Go Crazy, Cadillac,' from the 2003 Iron Bowl. After taking over for the legendary Jim Fyffye, Bramblett delivered an became an icon himself in the broadcast booth. He also called baseball and men's basketball.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bramblett family during this difficult time.
