3 Goals for Warriors to End Dumpster Fire of Season on a High Note
The Golden State Warriors finished last season losing in the NBA Finals due to a slew of injuries, and were hoping to run it back the following year. However, With Kevin Durant leaving in free agency, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry's injuries holding them to a combined four games, Shaun Livingston's retirement and the trade of Andre Iguodala, the Warriors quickly found themselves at the bottom of the Western Conference.
However, with Steph Curry returning and Andrew Wiggins and young players flourishing, there is still hope. Here are the three ways the Warriors can end the season on a high note.
3. Andrew Wiggins Clicking With Teammates
Getting Andrew Wiggins back in the D'Angelo Russell trade was a huge win for the Warriors. The 25-year-old has been hovering around 20 points for his whole career. If the Warriors use this time to have him gel with Curry, Draymond Green and the other young rotation pieces on the team, then the Warriors can consider this season a success.
2. Improvement of Young Players
The Warriors' young players Ky Bowman, Eric Paschall and Damion Lee have been solid this season, but they need to get as much playing time as possible to maximize their potential. In order to finish the season on a high note, these players need to keep training and playing at a high level.
1. Curry Playing at Old Form
The Warriors have a solid team, but they cannot expect any type of success if Steph Curry is not at his top form. Curry is a two-time MVP and is the best shooter in NBA history, and without him, the Warriors will just be a middling NBA team with no chance of making it towards the upper echelon of the Western Conference once again. Curry's resurgence is of utmost importance to this struggling Warriors team.
