Warriors Rule Out Klay Thompson for Remainder of 2019-20 NBA Season
By Jackson Thompson

The Golden State Warriors have made it official after months of speculation. On Thursday, they ruled out Klay Thompson for the remainder of the 2019-20 season, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.
Thompson has already missed the entire season to this point after sustaining a torn ACL in the Warriors' Game 6 defeat in last year's NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

The absence of the 30-year-old Thompson has made an apparent dent in Golden State's production this season. The Warriors currently hold the worst record in the NBA at 12-43, and are dead-last in team field goal percentage at 43.3%.
The team later confirmed the news Thursday evening.

While Thompson won't see any NBA action until the fall, he is making good progress in rehab, and it might still be possible for him to make an appearance in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
