The Golden State Warriors' season may be a lost cause at this point, but that doesn't mean some of their injured stars will be riding the bench for the rest of the year.

According to team president Bob Myers, there's at least a chance that Klay Thompson, who tore his ACL in the NBA Finals last season, could return this year.

Though it might not help the team this year, the mere possibility that he could play before the season is up proves that he's progressing well in his recovery, which bodes well for the team's 2020-21 campaign.

Thompson and his superstar teammate, Steph Curry, have dealt with more than their fair share of injuries this year. Curry has been out with a broken hand since the start of November, but even he could see the court again in the near future.

This year has proven just how valuable the two of them are. With Thompson and Curry playing a combined total of four games, the Warriors have posted a catastrophic 12-41 record.

It has been a downright painful season in Golden State, that much is clear. But this update on Thompson in addition to Curry's looming return serves as the light at the end of the tunnel for the Warriors.
