Warriors Reportedly Copying Raptors 'Jurassic Park' Concept Outside New Stadium in San Francisco
By Joey Mauceri
They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but the timing on this one is pretty hilarious if you ask me.
Following a dominant Game 1 performance by the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in their victory over the Golden State Warriors, the Warriors are reportedly planning on adding a component to their new stadium that is awfully similar to something that has become a staple of the Raptors' playoff run.
Throughout the playoffs, die hard Raptors fans have gathered outside of Scotiabank Arena to cheer on the Kawhi-led squad. The images of the crowd going absolutely ballistic following Leonard's game winner against the 76ers have become iconic during this playoff run. The gathering even has a name, known as "Jurassic Park".
Apparently the Warriors really admire "Jurassic Park", because they are reportedly building a jumbotron outside of their new arena with plans of giving fans an opportunity to watch games outside.
Nevertheless, the Chase Center is set to host Golden State next season, and it is already looking like one of the nicest stadiums in all of the NBA.
