Warriors Expected to Sign Chasson Randle After CBA Shut Down Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The Golden State Warriors are set to bring in another bench player from a rather unlikely location.
Chasson Randle, who has spent the season with Tianjin of the CBA, is expected to join the team on a 10-day contract after the league postponed its season due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Randle will join the team upon the approval of his request for a FIBA letter of clearance. The Chinese Basketball Association officially announced it would postpone the remainder of the season back on Jan. 30, leaving its players in a state of limbo.
Over the course of 23 games in China this year, Randle had been nothing short of dominant, averaging 24.9 points per game on 41.6% shooting.
He's not lacking in NBA experience, either. Prior to his move to China, Randle spent parts of two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks and Washington Wizards. During that time, he averaged 5.5 points in 13.9 minutes per game as a backup point guard.
Randle will be joining the Warriors on a 10-day contract, with which he'll hope to prove his game is ready to handle the NBA. The Dubs represent a great landing spot for Randle considering he'll have ample opportunity to showcase his skills with the team sitting well outside of the playoff hunt.
