Warriors Star Draymond Green Expected to Return Monday vs Jazz
By Jerry Trotta

It's been few and far between in the early stages of 2019, but we finally have some good news to report regarding the Golden State Warriors.
Draymond Green, who has been out of commission for the last five games because of a torn ligament in his left thumb, is expected to return for Monday night's home tilt against the Utah Jazz.
Golden State has officially listed Green as probable for the clash.
Some news: Draymond Green is trending toward a return tonight at home vs Jazz. He missed the last five games because of a torn ligament (and small bone chip, I’ve been told) in left index finger. Warriors listing Green as probable.

The injury was never expected to keep the three-time All-Star shelved for that long, but a plethora of pundits were skeptical given the notion that the Warriors' could be tanking this season.
Currently the bottom-feeders in the Western Conference at 2-8, Golden State is desperate for some sort of spark, and Green will provide just that given his rugged style of play.
Steve Kerr said Draymond Green will miss the next few games, at least. Torn ligament in his left index finger. Not a long term absence, though.

It remains to be seen how many minutes Steve Kerr will give Green in his first game back, but the fact of the matter is that D'Angelo Russell will once again share the court with a player who actually has significant NBA experience.
That alone should have Warriors fans feeling better about the current state of their squad.
Green has featured in just five game for the Warriors this season, averaging 9.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 42.9% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the arc.
