The Golden State Warriors will face off against the Los Angeles Lakers to end day five of the NBA Las Vegas Summer League.

The Lakers are coming off of a close loss to the Clippers on Saturday and are 0-2 in Las Vegas overall. With their only draft pick Talen Horton-Tucker out with injury, their focus has been mainly on undrafted rookies.

They have seen promise from Zach Norvell Jr., who so far looks like the only other guy who has a shot at making the roster after the summer, but he is also out with a lower back injury.

The Lakers will be dependent on the rest of their rookies, with hopes of a possible diamond in the rough situation. Joe Young and Devonte Cacok have shown positive spurts in the absence of Tucker and Norvell Jr.

The Warriors have seen breakout games from their 2018 first round pick Jacob Evans who led the team to a close win against the Raptors with 24 points at a 47.4% clip from the field.

They have also seen great things from rookies Jordan Poole and Alen Smailagic. Poole finished his last game with 21 points, while Smailagic finished with steady stats across the board.

This will be a good matchup for the Lakers to see if there is anyone else who could come up and fill a regular season roster spot any time soon.
