White Sox Could Show up Kris Bryant in Big Way With Victory Over Cubs on Wednesday
By Sean Facey

Kris Bryant's comments ahead of the Cubs' inner-city series with the White Sox may just come back to haunt him.
After he boldly trashed the White Sox by saying that he wasn't even aware that they were on the schedule for the Cubs, the South Siders now have a chance show him up by taking the series at Wrigley on Wednesday.
White Sox pitcher Dylan Covey is excited for next week's Cubs-Sox series.

His old college roommate, Kris Bryant? Not so much, @MDGonzales writes.
"I didn't even know we play them." https://t.co/znvvROF2pu pic.twitter.com/KgIY9vJ5f6
A similar situation unfolded earlier in the season in which he trashed the Cardinals ahead of a series in St. Louis. The Cubs ended up getting swept, scoring just six runs in three games. He struggled, too, going just 2-for-13 in the set.
A series win for the White Sox would be the perfect response to his taunts and would make him and the Cubs look absolutely laughable.
They've already tormented the Cubs with the success of prospect Eloy Jimenez, so why not just go the extra mile and embarrass their rival's star player on his home field?

Trash talk can be a good way to get pumped up for a series, especially against a rival. But Bryant hasn't been able to back up his trash talking antics this season, and a loss on Wednesday to the White Sox would prove incredibly embarrassing for the Cubs' star.
