White Sox-Marcell Ozuna Rumors Reportedly Not True as Chicago Continues to Target Pitching
By Sean Facey

The Chicago White Sox have been rumored to be in the market for an outfielder for practically all of the offseason, and Marcell Ozuna's name has naturally popped up as a potential target. In fact, there have even been rumors that he intends to sign with them on Monday.
But it now sounds as though those rumors are unfounded. Per Jon Heyman, the White Sox have their sights set on pitching help right now.
Rumor that Marcell Ozuna is signing with the White Sox with announcement coming Monday is not true, I’m told. White Sox appears to be concentrating on pitching at the moment.

A Dominican sports journalist by the name of Frank Castillo reported Ozuna's expected imminent deal with Chicago.

It may come as a disappointment to White Sox fans, but it would actually be more wise of them to keep their eyes set on pitching.
After signing standout catcher Yasmani Grandal, their lineup is looking mighty fearsome heading into next year. If anything, help on offense should be at the bottom of their wish list.

The rotation and bullpen both still have glaring holes that need to be addressed. The starting rotation is riddled with injuries, and the relief staff is filled with far more questions than answers.
While Ozuna would be a nice addition for the up-and-coming Sox, the front office has other pressing needs, so this dispute of the earlier reports makes sense.
