Eloy Jimenez was quietly putting together a nice season for the Chicago White Sox, but after the 22-year-old crashed into teammate Charlie Tilson in the first inning of Tuesday's game against the Royals, that positive campaign will be put on hold, as he will be forced to the injured list for the second time this season.

The collision looked rather pedestrian, but Jimenez was clipped at the perfect angle and had to be walked off the field, holding his elbow the whole time. The elbow injury will put the big slugger on the IL again, though he's not expected to be out for more than 10 days.

Jimenez is hitting .244 this season with 17 home runs and 39 RBIs, coming into his own and finding his power swing in his first full season in the big leagues. Jimenez was a top prospect and has shown glimpses of star potential, and the White Sox are hoping he will grace their lineup again soon.
