The Kansas City Royals (18-34) are coming off of an extra-innings walk-off win against the Yankees. They have a chance to build some momentum in Game 1 of their series against the Chicago White Sox (23-29).
How to Live Stream the Game
Action is set to start at 2:10 p.m. ET at Guaranteed Rate Field. The game will be broadcasted on NSCH and FSKC. Free live streams can be found on the MLB streams subreddit.
Royals Lineup
Batting second for the Royals is Tuesday's hero, Whit Merrifield. The right fielder hit a walk-off RBI single to give his team the win against New York. He'll have plenty of support behind him with Jorge Soler and Hunter Dozier, who are leading the team in home runs with 12 and 11, respectively.
On the mound for Kansas City is Homer Bailey. He has continued to struggle this season, posting a 6.13 ERA in 47 innings pitched. He'll have to turn things around if the Royals want to start their seven-game road trip with a win.
White Sox Lineup
The White Sox offense was completely shut down last game in their 7-0 loss against the Minnesota Twins. They'll get more help this game as Tim Anderson is returning to the lineup after missing the last two games due to wrist soreness.
Anderson is facing the Royals for the first time since his famous bat flip against them. For the season he is batting .337 and has 8 home runs to go with 25 RBI. He should have some extra motivation after being hit by a pitch in his last matchup against KC.
Ivan Nova will be the one trying to slow down the Royals offense. He has also struggled this season, posting an 6.96 ERA and has given up 79 hits in 54.1 innings pitched.
