After a storm last night canceled the series opener between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox, the AL Central rivals will try again Wednesday in the Windy City -- and this time, there's excitement in the air for White Sox fans as MLB's No. 18 overall prospect, Dylan Cease, will make his debut on the bump for Chicago.

This game can be viewed regionally on Fox Sports Detroit and WGN, and it can also be viewed using the MLB streams subreddit.

White Sox Lineup

It's been a season filled with hints of ambition for fans on the Chicago's South Side, as their White Sox currently sit just three games under .500 and only sit 5.5 games out of a Wild Card spot in the American League.

Leury García, who is filling in for Tim Anderson at shortstop, leads off the game, followed by Yoan Moncada and Jose Abreu. James McCann, Jon Jay and Eloy Jiménez round out the heart of the order.

On the mound for the ChiSox is the team's No. 3 overall prospect in Cease. His debut has been long awaited from the fan base. He brings to the table an electric fastball, capable of clocking in around the high-90s. In Triple-A this season, Cease has logged a 4.48 ERA with 73 strikeouts across 68.1 innings of work.

Tigers Lineup

It's been quite the opposite for Detroit, as 2019 became a season to forget rather quickly. The Tigers are 27-52 -- third worst in the league -- and show no signs of getting hot.

JaCoby Jones is leading off for the Tigers, followed by Christin Stewart and Nicholas Castellanos. Brandon Dixon will hit cleanup, with Jeimer Candelario and Harold Castro round out the heart of the order.

On the mound for Detroit is left-hander Daniel Norris, who has had an up and down year but looks to right the ship against an average Sox lineup.

The lineups for Game 1 are set, though expect some changes in the second tilt of the doubleheader on Wednesday. For now, all eyes will be on the 23-year-old Cease as he looks to get his major league career off to a strong start. There's not a better lineup to face in your debut either, as the Tigers are anything but potent at the plate.
