The White Sox enter this game coming off a pair of wins during the doubleheader against the Tigers on Wednesday. Pitcher Reynaldo López (4-7) will get the start and look to build on his last outing against the Red Sox when he allowed three runs in six innings of work. López has an unsightly 6.12 ERA and 1.58 WHIP while allowing hitters to compile a .293 batting average against him.
To say that Reynaldo Lopez has had a bad season so far would be a massive understatement. But a good start today would be a big step in the right direction. This team really needs him to start pulling his weight and keep the momentum going.

The Sox have done well offensively in their last 10 games, averaging 5.4 runs per game, and they've scored 16 runs in their last two against Detroit.
Yoán Moncada will be one to watch for in this one, as he's hit an absolutely scorching .404 with four homers and nine runs batted in through his last 15 games.

So far this year, the Tigers have been the worst offensive team in baseball, putting together just 3.5 runs per game and a poor .230 batting average. Pitcher Matthew Boyd (5-6) will get the start on Thursday and he'll look to put together his first quality start since June 7. In his one start against the White Sox this year, Boyd threw six strong innings and allowed two earned runs while striking out nine.
