VIDEO: White Sox Prospect Yermin Mercedes Continues Hot Spring With Monster Grand Slam vs Indians

Chicago White Sox catcher Yermin Mercedes has enjoyed a phenomenal spring thus far, and that continued Friday when the team faced off with the Indians. The 27 year old launched his second homer of the spring, this one a grand slam, to give the White Sox a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth.

Mercedes is showing off his power in the preseason and is making a real case for him to see some time in the majors this year, if he can keep this up.
He spent the 2019 season between Double-A and Triple-A, slashing .317/.388/.581 with 23 home runs and 80 RBI. Perhaps this will be the year he finally gets a crack at the big leagues.
