Why Tee Higgins is a Better Draft Pick for Eagles Than Justin Jefferson
By Michael Luciano

Most of the time, finding a prospect that fits your scheme in the NFL Draft is more important than simply drafting the best player available.
While LSU receiver Justin Jefferson appears on track to be a star in short order and a first-round pick in the 2020 draft, the Philadelphia Eagles might be better served drafting Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Rather than use a first-round pick on a wide receiver, given how historically deep the 2020 class is slated to be, the Eagles might be better off stockpiling wideout options in the middle rounds. Higgins would be a perfect target in the second round.
Higgins' awful pro day numbers might knock him out of first-round consideration, but he could be a perfect replacement for Alshon Jeffery, given how the former Pro Bowler has implied he would welcome a trade. Assuming the Eagles are giving up on 2019 second-rounder JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Higgins has the size, verticality, and sure hands to become the possession receiver Carson Wentz is looking for.

Higgins out on one side and any number of speedy deep threats the Eagles can bring in on the other side would help an offense that stagnated last year reassert themselves as one of the best in the NFL. Philly just needs to hope Higgins can last until Round 2.
