Wide Receiver Wonderlic Scores Reportedly Leaked and That's Bad News for Jerry Jeudy

A plethora of NFL Draft scouts have labeled Alabama stud Jerry Jeudy as the best wide receiver in a loaded 2020 class, and for good reason. ESPN draft prognosticator Mel Kiper even has Jeudy being the first wideout taken off the board -- No. 9 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars -- in his latest mock.

However, the Wonderlic scores for the top WR's in this year's pool have just been reportedly released, and Jeudy's shockingly low grade is a dose of unnecessary bad news, with the draft just one week away.

We love how Jeudy projects as an NFL player, but a nine out of 50 is an abysmal score. For context, 19.7 is considered to be the average for wide receivers. The Wonderlic test, of course, is similar to that of an IQ examination, so make of that what you will.

Never forget that back in 2014, Kelvin Benjamin, one of the most famous wideout busts in recent memory, scored a seven. That still stands as the fourth-worst tally in league history.

We would never compare Jeudy to Benjamin from a skills standpoint, and NFL teams clearly don't value Wonderlic results as highly as overall talent. However, considering that Jeudy is arguably the most gifted receiver in this class, this news makes for an interesting storyline with the 2020 Draft just seven days away.
