Wideouts Phillip Dorsett and Mohamed Sanu Inactive Ahead of Patriots' Showdown With Cowboys
By Michael Luciano
The New England Patriots are banged up as they prepare to lock horns with the Dallas Cowboys, as three potential starters are not active in this one.
Wide receivers Mohamed Sanu and Phillip Dorsett are both inactive, as is starting cornerback Jason McCourty. Against Byron Jones and Amari Cooper on either side of the ball, that could be problematic.
Is Jabar Gaffney able to suit up? Reche Caldwell? Maybe even Irving Fryar?
The Patriots will need to lean on N'Keal Harry and Julian Edelman heavily now that the speedster Dorsett and reliable Sanu can't play in this game. With McCourty out, JC Jackson will take his spot, while seldom used 6-3 rookie cornerback Joejuan Williams will be active.
If course, Tom Brady is battling some sort of painful elbow injury, but will play.
If New England is going to take down Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, they'll have to do it with basically no wide receivers and a starting cornerback out. This could be the Patriots' most impressive win of the season.
